Current Positions Available
Pharmacy Clerk/Technician-in-Training - multiple positions FT & PT
- Help healthcare providers and patients by greeting them in person and by phone; answering questions and requests; referring inquiries to the pharmacist
- Maintain a safe and clean pharmacy by keeping the pharmacy neat, clean, and clutter-free
- Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
- Receive and directs new and refill prescriptions for further processing
- Assists pharmacy personnel with clerical functions
- All other duties as assigned to meet the needs of the pharmacy and its patients, understanding that the requirements of working in a pharmacy are varied and may change in order to best serve the pharmacy needs of the community
- Maintain professional working relationships at all times with pharmacy personnel, physicians, nurses, and other SMC staff
- Maintain friendly and helpful attitude at all times when dealing with customers
- Maintain a safe and effective pharmacy by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
- Organize medications for pharmacist to dispense by profiling prescriptions; preparing labels and calculating quantities
- Ensure medication availability by delivering medications to patients and ordering when needed
- Work with the pharmacy team to ensure best practices are being followed with regards to 340B
- All other duties as assigned to meet the needs of the pharmacy and its patients, understanding that the requirements of working in a pharmacy are varied and may change as demands on the department change
- High school degree or equivalent
- Strong patient/customer service skills
- Previous experience with sales, register, and healthcare preferred
- Pharmacy Technician Registration in the State of Minnesota (or willingness to complete training)
- Strong commitment to patient experience, service, and quality
Patient Access Representative FT
The Sawtooth Mountain Clinic is looking for a calm, competent, and compassionate individual to join the Patient Access Department! This position includes answering phones, scheduling patients, checking patients in/out at the front desk, insurance verification, among other duties. Come join this fun team at SMC!
Summary:
The Patient Access Representative’s role is to initiate warm and efficient patient contact, direct patient communications to appropriate staff, maintain accurate clinic schedules, and execute other duties as needed to support optimal patient care. Strong communication and organizational skills are integral to this role.
Responsibilities are as follows:
• Respond to telephone, in-person, and electronic patient inquiries effectively and appropriately
• Coordinate communication efficiently and respectfully
• Schedule patient appointments according to protocols and workflows
• Maintain patient accounts by obtaining, recording, and updating personal and financial information
• Receive patient payments and respond to billing inquiries
• Protect patients’ rights by maintaining confidentiality of personal and financial information
• Individual projects and responsibilities according to needs of Patient Access team
• Other duties as directed by the Health Care Home Team, Sawtooth Mountain Clinic Executive Director, and Sawtooth Mountain Clinic Providers
Qualifications:
• Previous work experience in customer service or other related field
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Desire to work as an integrated part of a care team
• Knowledge of general office technologies and software
